Pub run keeps runners warm
Saturday, December 8, 2012
WENATCHEE — At 5 p.m. Thursday, darkness and cold blanketed Wenatchee and with each breath, a puff of steam rose from the mouth of anyone outside.
Run Wenatchee running club members didn’t let that stop them. They found motivation in the form of a Christmas theme — with bells tied to their shoes, they could be heard jingling their way across the pedestrian bridge at the foot of First Street and along the Apple Capital Recreation Loop Trail, before making their way back to Saddle Rock Brewery for a celebratory beverage.
The Jingle Bell Pub Run was one of the monthly jaunts the club hosts. The Christmas theme brought out runners donned in Santa hats. Many wore red or green. One wore a hat complete with battery-powered Christmas lights.
Check out our video on the runners and the Jingle Bell Pub Run above.
