Quincy family injured in vehicle rollover
Sunday, December 30, 2012
EAST WENATCHEE — Four Quincy residents were transported to Central Washington Hospital Saturday evening after their SUV overturned on Hwy 28, eight miles east of East Wenatchee.
Roberto Barajas Estrada, 44, the driver, apparently lost control of the 2000 Chevy Tahoe while trying to pass another eastbound vehicle, according to the Washington State Patrol report. The accident was reported at 6:45 p.m. Saturday.
The vehicle went off the highway to the left, rolled over and came to rest in a ditch. The report indicated that Barajas Estrada was driving too fast for the winter road conditions.
Transported by ambulance to the hospital were Barajas Estrada; Ester Barajas, 43; Roberto Barajas, 17; and Genecis Barajas, 19. Another passenger, Pamela Barajas, 10, was not injured. All were wearing seatbelts.
Information about their condition was not available.
