Gymnastics: Four top-10s

SEATTLE — Four members of Wenatchee-based club S.P.O.R.T Gymnastics registered top-10 finishes at the Battle In Seattle on over the weekend.
Julia Williams, the club’s only Level 9 gymnast, placed 10th overall, but picked up a score of 8.9 on the floor exercise.
Williams had to scratch in the beam rotation because of a foot injury.
Ali Brandt placed eighth overall in Level 8, scoring an 8.7 on the vault for second in that rotation.
Ali Pierce and Alyssa Laney both competed in Level 6, with Pierce placing fourth and Laney eighth in the all-around.
Pierce won the beam rotation with a score of 9.35. Laney’s top event was the floor exercise, where she posted a 9.25 to finish fourth.
