Lynus and Lucy to open for Styx

WENATCHEE — The Lynus and Lucy Band of Wenatchee will open for Styx Feb. 1 at Town Toyota Center.

The four-member "acoustic alternative" band won a contest launched by Town Toyota Center on its Facebook page to find a local opener for Styx. Fourteen bands submitted videos. They were rated on the number of "Likes" they received as well as a set of criteria by local, expert judges.

Lisa and Brad Petit created the band in April. Other bandmembers are bass player Eric Frank and viola player Nathan Davis. Read more about Lynus and Lucy in Sunday's World.

They're playing tonight at the Clearwater in East Wenatchee, from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. See their winning video performance of Angus and Julia Stone's Big Jet Plane here.

Yes i understand but necessary to b breaking news. I think not. An being most regulars in here like to b smart alices i never said all news has to b bad. . Im just sayin breaking news i think not. . They formed the band in April?? Of what year? Lynus and Lucy have been playing together for decades, in my recollection. All new band now?

Debbie -- Check out the full story in today's GO! They formed the band years ago, but took a five-year hiatus to spend more time with their daughter. They reformed in April, with current band members and performed at Apple Blossom. Here's a link to the story: http://www.wenatcheeworld.com/news/20...
