Lillian (Murray) Grubb, 95, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012, in Wenatchee. She was born April 2, 1916, to Frank and Cecile Murray in Cashmere, WA, where she spent her life, graduating from Cashmere High School in 1934. She moved to Wenatchee in 1941, where she worked for Montgomery Ward, packed apples and then worked for Bell Telephone, until she married Arlo Grubb in 1947. They purchased the Mission Street Grocery Store, which they operated for 40 years. She was an active member of Central Christian Church and the Lady Eagles Auxiliary of Wenatchee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlo Grubb, in 1993; three brothers, Charles Murray, Arthur Murray and James Murray; and one sister, Nellie Riggs. She is survived by four nephews, John Murray of Bainbridge Island, Arthur Murray, Jr. of Burlingame, KS, Blake Murray of Wenatchee and David Murray of California.
The family of Lillian wishes to thank the staff at Colonial Vista Personal Care Unit for their outstanding care and love that they gave to Lillian.
