UPDATE — The Chelan County PUD reports that power was restored to the Chumstick Canyon area just before 1 p.m. Crews expected the outage to last until 3 p.m., but discovered less damage to equipment than originally thought.

Power will be out to about 400 Chelan County PUD customers in the Chumstick Canyon area until about 3 p.m., when crews finish replacing some faulty equipment, the utility announced.

The outage also affects customers in Freund Canyon, Sunich Canyon, Eagle Creek and Spromberg Canyon, utility officials say. Power went out at 10:45 a.m.
