WENATCHEE — It will go down in the box score as a simple 6-3 putout, but Ace Campbell’s first, and likely only at-bat in a Wenatchee AppleSox uniform will always be special to the 18-year-old Cashmere native. As the Sox were putting the finishing touches on a 9-1 victory over the Portland Bucks in their sixth and final non-league contest on Wednesday night, Campbell, the team’s bullpen catcher, pinch-hit for Jeff Stephens in Wenatchee’s final turn at bat.
