YAKIMA — East Wenatchee’s Aaron Seabrook shot a 74 on Tuesday to take first place in the 14-15 boys division at a Washington Junior Golf Association sub-district tournament at Appletree Golf Course.

Ephrata’s Aaron Whalen followed in second place with a 76. Wenatchee’s Brady Kuntz shot an 84 to finish in a tie for 11th place and earn a district berth.

Ephrata’s Bryan Heer fired a 73 to finish second in the boys 16-17 division.

In the girls 14-15 division, Carly Bozett of Wenatchee fired a 91 to finish in third place and clinch a district spot.

Seabrook, Whalen and Heer had earned their district berths with their performances during District 4’s first sub-district tournament, held June 15 at Desert Aire Golf Course. The next sub-district tournament is scheduled for June 21 at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.

The district tournament will be held July 16-17 at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum.
