Vehicular assault sends one to the hospital
Friday, June 22, 2012
WENATCHEE — An argument between a motorist and a Wenatchee resident ended Thursday with the motorist behind bars and the resident in the hospital with a broken right hand.
Injured was Clay D. Juarez, 39, who lives in the 1700 block of Marker Street where the incident occurred, said Sgt. Jerry Moore with the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office. Arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault was Adam S. Harmon, 33, of Malott.
Moore said Harmon is accused of using his van to strike a tree at the residence, backing up and hitting a car, then going forward and striking the tree again, knocking it over. The van then backed up again and hit another parked car, then went forward and struck Juarez, knocking him to the ground. The van stopped after crashing into an embankment.
Moore said he did not know what the men were arguing about. Juarez was treated at Central Washington Hospital. Harmon was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center.
