Monday, June 25, 2012
WENATCHEE — A torch-bearer and team of runners for the World Harmony Run will be in Wenatchee on Tuesday.
The relay team is partway through a 50-state run designed to encourage goodwill. Similar relays are taking place in 100 countries world wide.
The runners will be greeted by a Wenatchee delegation at Walla Walla Point Park at 10:50 a.m.
The relay is 10 weeks into a four-month run around the United States that will hit more than 1,000 cities and cover about 10,000 miles. The runners offer educational presentations and promote self-esteem and friendship.
