William B. “Bill” Lippincott, 89, of Chelan, died Monday, May 21, 2012.

He had lived in Chelan since 1953 and had been a coach and a teacher. He had taught and coached at Cashmere and Chelan high schools. He retired from coaching in 1962 and became a sports broadcaster for KOZI radio in Chelan. He continued to teach and broadcast until 1984.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Lippincott of Chelan; his children, Tammy Roark of Yacolt and Mark Lippincott of Chelan; and his brother, George Lippincott of Chelan.

A tribute service will be held at 1 p.m. June 16 in the commons at Chelan High School.

Arrangements are by Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
