Veterans Day Parade Sunday

WENATCHEE — Honor local veterans by cheering on the annual Veterans Day Parade Sunday, starting at 10:45 a.m.
Veterans who want to join the parade, or the pre-parade motorcycle procession, should meet at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the at Wells Fargo Bank parking lot, 301 N. Chelan Ave. The Ladies Auxiliary will hand out American flags along the parade route before the start.
The parade route follows Chelan to Memorial Park, where veterans will hold a ceremony with taps and rifle salute.
The parade will then continue down Orondo Avenue and Mission Street back to Wells Fargo Bank. After the parade, the Wenatchee Fire Department will hold a free barbecue for veterans and their families.
Veterans are also invited to a hot breakfast 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday at the American Legion, 204 N. Wenatchee Ave. Donations will be accepted. That night, the Legion will host a dinner for veterans and their families at 6 p.m. Please RSVP at the Legion Hall.
