Serve Wenatchee to sign up families for food baskets

WENATCHEE — Serve Wenatchee Valley will provide local families with a “Basket of Blessings” for Thanksgiving. The food baskets are free and include all the fixings for the holiday meal, including turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables and pie.
People in need of a basket can sign up from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 14 and 15 at Serve Wenatchee Valley, 212 S. Mission St.
Families must provide photo identification and verification of current mail as proof of residency when signing up.

Don't they have to show that they're low income or anything? If not, that could be one very abused program.
