Susan and Richard Copner, 50 years ago

Richard and Susan Copner of Wenatchee recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering in Seattle on Nov. 17.

The event was planned by their children, daughter Carolyn Copner of Chelan and sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cari Copner of Sammamish and Bruce and Heather Copner of Boise, Idaho.

Susan Herrell and Richard Copner were married Nov. 17, 1962, at the Salem Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon.

The couple have lived in Wenatchee since 1976.

He retired from G.T.E. in 1993.

She worked in the state horticulture office and at Wenatchee Valley College. She also worked as a nurse at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center and Central Washington Hospital. She is a homemaker.

The couple have three grandchildren.
