Stevens released from jail
Friday, November 30, 2012
TAMPA, Fla. — Former Seahawks and Washington Huskies player Jerramy Stevens was released from jail Thursday morning by a Hillsborough County judge after his arrest the previous day for investigation of a probation violation.
Judge Walter Heinrich released Stevens on his own recognizance because a Kirkland judge ruled Stevens was arrested without cause, The Tampa Tribune and USA Today reported on their websites.
Stevens was arrested Nov. 12 in Kirkland but has not been charged in connection with the alleged assault of his fiancée, soccer star Hope Solo. The case remains under investigation.
That Kirkland arrest may have violated his parole stemming from a 2010 marijuana possession charge in Tampa. Despite being released, he could still face a probation hearing.
