Man reports losing wallet in robbery
Wednesday, October 10, 2012
WENATCHEE — A Wenatchee man told police that he was robbed of his wallet and baseball cap about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday as he was walking at First Street and North Franklin Avenue.
The man, described as being in his 20s, said a white male struck him in the face, robbed him and then left eastbound on First Street, said Officer Gary Geiger with the Wenatchee Police Department.
The man who was robbed called for help on his cell phone but he declined to provide a statement to officers other than to describe the suspect as balding and wearing a black T-shirt and Jeans. The approximate age of the suspect was not available.
The man who was robbed was not badly injured and did not require medical aid, Geiger said.

If everyone would just carry guns, we'd all be so much safer.

Sounds like the guy got sucker-punched. Blindsided, if you will.
Thanks for printing this article. Good reminder to remain alert, even when walking down a public street.

If "everyone" was carrying a gun, than wouldn't you have a standoff? How this could possibly make things safer is unclear to me. Given human nature one of those guys would have shot the other and maybe even a bystander or two.

odds are the criminal woul d have stolen the gun as well. most people should not carry a gun as they are not prepared to use it.
