WATERVILLE — Keeping a tight rein on Douglas County’s approximately $72 million annual budget is a top priority for both incumbent Dale Snyder and challenger Ed Daling in the race for the District 2 spot on the county commission.
“It just bothers me,” says Daling, owner and operator of Waterville Family Grocery. “You look across our nation, as a parent and as a grandparent, to see the legacy we are leaving our kids — that it’s OK to tax and spend. And it’s not. I really want to see that we get accountable budgets based on the revenue we have.”
