Staying on top
Dr. Cara Schroeder of Children’s Dentistry of Wenatchee took part in the seminar “New Trends and Materials in Pulp Therapy” on Oct. 6, presented by the Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in Seattle.
Therapists Marci Peterson, M.P.T., O.C.S. and Stephanie Purcell, P.T.A. of Biosports Physical Therapy, attended the North American Sports Medicine Institute’s “Selective Functional Movement Assessment” taught by Michael Voight, PT, DHSc, Professor at Belmont University School of Physical Therapy and Brandon Gilliam DPT, ATC Sept. 21-22 in Seattle.
Dr. Barbara Fehr, DVM of The Village Veterinarian in Chelan attended the “What Lies Beneath the Gingiva” conference focusing on Dental radiology and techniques for limiting pain and maximizing healing following dental procedures in cats and dogs. The conference was held at the Washington State University Veterinary Specialty Teaching Clinic Sept. 23-34 in Spokane.
New jobs, new faces
Aura (Tinsley) Sanderson joined Columbia Valley Community Health’s (CVCH) Chelan clinic Oct. 1. The Chelan native received a bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies through MEDEX Northwest at the University of Washington. Sanderson has worked for CVCH since 2005. She will work two days a week as a primary care provider in Chelan and two days at the CVCH Express Care Clinic in East Wenatchee, until she transitions to a full time schedule in Chelan.
Amanda Bartell has joined the team of dental professionals at Dr. Cara’s Children’s Dentistry of Wenatchee as a dental hygienist. Bartell has lived in Wenatchee for more than nine years.
Congratulations
Tracey Kasnic, vice president of Patient Care Services at Central Washington Hopsital in Wenatchee, has been elected to the Washington Center for Nursing Board of Directors. She will begin her term Jan. 1. Kasnic will represent the Northwest Organization for Nurse Executives, a membership serving all levels of nursing leadership.
