A Manson homeowner held a gun on an intoxicated intruder early Sunday morning and detained him until law enforcement officers could arrive.

Brendan M. Gallacher, 26, of Lynnwood, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass. John Wisemore, chief of operations for the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, said the incident happened in the 3000 block of Chelan Boulevard.

A woman called 911 at 4:24 a.m., saying that her husband was holding a gun on a man in a chair in their living room, deputies said. The suspect, who was intoxicated, told deputies that he did not know where he was or how he got there. The family dog’s growling alerted them to the suspect’s presence. He had apparently entered the residence through an unlocked door.
