Warm weather to hang on through Wednesday
Sunny T-shirt and shorts weather should be with us for most of the school spring break.
Temperatures rose to the low 70s Easter Sunday and it could get a bit warmer today. The National Weather Service is forecasting a high of 72 for Wenatchee. The highs are still well below records of 79 Sunday and 80 today, set in 1992, but they’re well above the normal high of 59 both days, said Steven Van Horn, weather forecaster.
“That’s 13 degrees higher, so it’s quite a bit warmer than normal,” Van Horn said. Highs will cool slightly through the week but should remain in the upper 60s through Wednesday. Clouds are expected to move in Wednesday night and bring a 30 percent chance of rain Thursday. Much cooler weather — back to normal in the upper 50s — and a slight chance of rain will extend through next weekend. Lows will be in the 40s this week.
