WENATCHEE — After pitching just two innings in his Saturday start in Spokane, Wenatchee Valley College pitcher Mitch Yada knew that he might be used in relief Wednesday during the Knights’ doubleheader against Yakima Valley at Paul Thomas Sr. Baseball Stadium. Yada, a redshirt freshman left-hander from Moses Lake, wasn’t mentally focused in his Saturday outing, and he struggled as a result. He was much more self-assured Wednesday, however, and threw 3 2/3 effective relief innings to help the Knights hold on for a 9-6 win in the opener.
