Joseph Winters arranged and shot this photo during the LIFE2 Earth Day Community Fair in Leavenworth Sunday. The Cascade High School freshman is a Greenpeace volunteer. He organized the photo as part of his “What the Shell?” booth aimed at highlighting the need to protect the Arctic from oil interests. Winters said his photo, which he shot from a truck boom 30 feet in the air, will be among 100 similar photos from around the world that Greenpeace will deliver to a meeting in Sweden where oil interests in the Arctic region will be discussed.
