Delmer O. Ketchie, 81, of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

He had resided in Wenatchee for 30 years and was a fruit tree cold hardiness scientist for 29 years at the Tree Fruit Research Center in Wenatchee.

Survivors include his wife, Ewa Pasternak Ketchie of Wenatchee; his children, Kimberly Weller of Maple Valley, Kelly Keebler of Newton, N.J., Conrad Ketchie of Los Angeles and Adela Ketchie of Wenatchee.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Wenatchee.

Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
