MANSON — The Lake Chelan Shore to Shore Marathon, Half-Marathon and 10K will again have a record turnout at this year’s Sept. 7 event.
Registration has already surpassed last year’s final total. One year ago, 35 percent of the participants signed up in the last month.
The event’s all-time turnout mark was set last year, when 400 runners signed up.
“We couldn’t be happier,” said Joel Rhyner, race director of the event, in a press release.
“When we took over management of the race in 2011 we had about 220 people participate. We have witnessed excellent growth since then.”
Through July 28, sign-up numbers for all three races are on pace to break last year’s figures, Rhyner said.
