NCW — The community is invited to two fundraisers benefitting an “Out of the Darkness” community walk in Wenatchee.
The Wenatchee and East Wenatchee locations of Blue Spoon Yogurt will host a fundraiser from 6 p.m. to closing Tuesday. Proceeds will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
A spaghetti feed and silent auction will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 23 at the YMCA’s Cafe AZ’s, 212 First St. Cost is $10 per person. The dinner includes spaghetti, garden salad, garlic bread and a dessert. Water, coffee and iced tea will be available at no cost.
Auction items include gift certificates to local merchants and eateries, home decoration items and gift baskets. A 50/50 raffle will also be held during the dinner. Raffle tickets cost 3 for $1.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
The “Out of the Darkness” community walk will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 28 at Walla Walla Point Park, 1351 Walla Walla Ave. The walk will help bring awareness and create a dialogue surrounding suicide.
