Shraon Lee (Burnell) Lambert

March 8, 1944 ~ August 1, 2013

Sharon was born March 8, 1944, in St. Paul, MN to Edwin Burnell and Beulah Burnell (Ferry). She graduated from Monroe High School in St. Paul, MN June 1962. She lived in the Twin Cities until she and her son moved to Spokane, WA in 1971, where they lived until 1978, when they moved to Clarkston, WA. She returned to Spokane to care for her ailing mother in 1983. She lived in an apartment in her church, caring for the church and grounds, after her mother passed away until 1988, when she moved to Leavenworth, WA. She resided there until she went home to Jesus on August 1, 2013. During her life, she worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and housekeeper. She sold carpet and did the payroll for Ayers Floor Covering and also Wedge Mountain Inn. She taught Sunday School from children to adults for 25 years. She was a Ladies’ Ministry leader for three years and won highest award in the northwest five states. She spoke at ladies retreats and Mothers Day banquets through the years.

Her survivors are son, Jay Burnell of East Wenatchee, WA; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Rick Nubile of Tacoma, WA; granddaughter and husband, Nicole and Steven Preston of Tacoma, WA; grandson, Samuel Nubile of Tacoma, WA; sister, Gayle Yale of East Wenatchee, WA; goddaughter, Holly Shelton of East Wenatchee, WA; best friend and confidant, Cathy Hegewald of Leavenworth, WA; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-niece.

Her greatest love and joy was Jesus Christ, her Savior and Lord. She loved serving Jesus and this is what brought her happiness and she looked forward to Him telling her “well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother, Beulah, Edwin and Gary Burnell. She is now dancing around the throne of God, waiting for the reunion of her loved ones to all come home.

A Celebration of Sharon’s life was held at the Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.
