What a thrill to walk through the new WestSide High School out on Ninth Street, the original Eagles Club.
Those students next week will be enjoying the latest in school design, lighting and air conditioning, far ahead of anything else in the district.
It is particularly sweet to see a project completed as the second half of the joint school board-college project that brought the new Center for Music and Art at Wenatchee Valley College campus. WestSide High fills an essential need in our educational system.
No other way can we educate students that don’t quite fit the traditional high school setting. Our school board doesn’t have to worry about including it any more when it comes time for a new bond issue.
We owe thanks to those who figured out how to make this joint project work, and to those who raised the funds that put it over.
