Dart Thomas West

January 24, 1957 ~ November 28, 2013

Dart was born in Spokane, WA to Tom and Doris West. They moved to Lake Wenatchee in 1961. They finally settled at the West Compound in 1963, where Dart stayed, doing rock walls, gardening, building, remodeling, taking care of the land, collecting old chevy’s and raising his family. Dart’s father, Tom, taught him construction as he was growing up. He stayed with construction for the rest of his life, teaching his sons, Travis and Adam. He retired in 2010, due to illness.

He has five sisters, Sherrill, Terry, Jan, Lorri, Paula and a brother, Clayton. He married Lonna Adams in 1980, they were married for 33 years. Together they had five children; Travis (Hayley) of Tumbi Umbi, Australia, Adam (Jessica), Sandy (who passed at birth), Amanda (Charlie), and Tc (Bryce), all from Leavenworth. They have six grandkids that Dart loved dearly; Cohen (6), Malakai (4), Vin (2 1/2), Remi (1), Eliana (8 months) and Carson (7 weeks), and more to come. He has dozens of cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends (Jimmy Emmons, Chris Marson, Jim Clarke, and many others). Dart’s legacy will live on through his family and friends.

A Memorial Potluck Dinner will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Leavenworth Firehall on Chumstick Hwy.
