Considering the recent news about our case being ruled upon by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, one must wonder why government has made monopolies illegal on one hand (for good reason) but on the other hand creates and protects monopolies? The court has dismissed the constitutional challenge which will now be appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States. At the state level we are now left with going back to court or to the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission to see if we can somehow figure out a way even to provide transportation to our own guests — an action that they have denied in the past.
