‘Warming’ trend to push mercury toward freezing

WENATCHEE — Shifting air flows mean warmer temperatures and mountain snow around the region starting mid week.

Gradual warming is expected, as westerly flows tempered by the Pacific Ocean displace the frigid Yukon air that has gripped the region for the past week with lows in the single digits and colder, Jon Fox, forecaster with the National Weather Service in Spokane said this morning.
