WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee boys swim and dive squad will have a handful of state-qualifying swimmers in the pool for the 2013-14 season.

Sophomore Jared Vargas, who set the school record in the 500 freestyle, will lead a team that has a mixed bag of youth and experience. Vargas has shown the ability to be competitive in a number of events and will likely be effective in whatever event he swims.
