EPHRATA — Is there someone in your life who faces the obstacles and challenges of cancer or other life-threatening illnesses? Honor them by joining us for the second annual SamScramble, a healthy and inspirational way to begin the New Year.

Part foot race, part scavenger hunt, SamScramble is inspired by the indomitable Samantha Webb of Ephrata who died of cancer on Jan. 1, 2003, and all others who face life-threatening illnesses. The inaugural event, held Jan. 1, 2013, was a great success, drawing nearly 170 participants and raising more than $7,000 for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, which directly benefited Grant County residents faced with the challenges of cancer.
