Elsmer “Sonny” Fisher, 86, of East Wenatchee and an 84-year resident of the Wenatchee Valley, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2012.
He attended Wenatchee High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during the end of World War II. He had worked for the Washington State Highway Department, the Lighthouse Tavern, Durkees Distributing and Alcoa where he was a pot room supervisor, retiring in 1980. He also owned and operated a Malaga orchard.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn A. Fisher, East Wenatchee; four daughters, Beverly “Bev” Jensen of Marysville, Sharon Critchell of East Wenatchee, Diana Stephenson of Lakewood, Connie Moore of Wenatchee; two sisters, Darlene Petersen of East Wenatchee, and Shirley Eddy of Omak; a brother, Dave Fisher of Wenatchee; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
