Not lost in the cold

We have not been overwhelmed by the cold. Our hearts are still warm. The community’s response to the initial appeal of the Neighbors Care Fund shows it. Of course, there is much to do and far to go.

There are many in need, and good projects in need of support. The Packing Friendship project is one, 11 churches concerned about children and homelessness enough to provide food for the hungry. CASA, volunteer advocates for the suffering children of the courts, is another. So too is New Life Adoptions, a no-fee agency that recruits and trains families to adopt children from the foster care system.
