TONASKET — Okanogan boys basketball jumped to an early lead over Riverside (8-1) ending the first quarter 26-7 and never giving up a double-digit lead until the game’s end when it won 80-62.
“We dominated the first quarter,” Okanogan coach Mike Carlquist said. “Our kids came ready to play early. It was a slug match after that.”
Riverside came back with a solid 22-point second quarter but entered halftime at a 15-point deficit.
