Congratulations

Laurie Dawson of local Guide Dog Puppy Raising club, Pups 4 Partners, recently attended a Guide Dogs for the Blind graduation ceremony in Seattle for Rebel, a black Labrador retriever that she raised from a puppy. During the ceremony, Dawson officially presented Rebel to blind student Bill Spiry, who had completed an intensive course at the the Guide Dogs for the Blind School with Rebel. Rebel is the first puppy raised in Wenatchee to graduate as a guide dog for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Sara Deason and KC Miller of Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) have been promoted. Deason has been promoted to the role of purchasing supervisor and Miller has been promoted to the position of accounting supervisor. Deason joined the finance team as a senior revenue analyst in February. She had previously worked as an accountant at Confluence Health. Miller has worked as a compensation analyst in the CVCH finance department for nine years.

Staying on top

Jenny Fasching, PHR of Cordell, Neher & Company, PLLC attended a national Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Leadership Conference in National Harbor, Md. last month. Fasching is president of the Apple Valley Human Resource Association (AVHRA) board.

New jobs, new faces

Brett T. Henkle has joined the office of Mel Henkle, CPA as a staff accountant. Brett has six years of accounting experience in North Central Washington. He is a 2007 graduate of Washington State University.
