Community arts meeting is Feb. 22
Thursday, February 14, 2013
WENATCHEE — One of the organizers behind the Imagine South Wenatchee project is asking locals to imagine: a network connecting arts groups of every discipline to advance the Wenatchee Valley arts scene as a whole.
Thom Nees is calling a meeting at noon Feb. 22 to talk about the idea of “Better Together,” a community-wide partnership he hopes to build. The meeting will be in the Golden Delicious Room at the Wenatchee Convention Center.
The partnership will pull from different sectors in the community that have an interest in the arts, including education, businesses, churches, government and the media. Nees said the goal of the meeting is to provide a forum around the question, “Are we better together?”
Anyone is invited to attend. Register in advance by calling 630-4438 to give organizers an idea how many people are coming.
