Saturday, February 16, 2013
LAKE WENATCHEE — U.S. Forest Service officials will host a public meeting Feb. 23 to get public input on how to deal with the unprecedented number of trees that fell during a series of December storms.
The meeting at the Lake Wenatchee Recreation Club will happen from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The Forest Service’s Wenatchee River Ranger District is seeking help in assessing the amount of damage and how best to clear the downed wood from “roads, trails and other infrastructure,” according to a news release.
For more information, call the district at 548-2550.
