Fraud fugitive arrested in Wenatchee
Tuesday, February 26, 2013
WENATCHEE — A 52-year-old fraud suspect who was featured on “American’s Most Wanted” was arrested Thursday in Wenatchee.
Fredrick Nicholson was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center on suspicion of making a false statement to a public officer, said Wenatchee Detective Edgar Reinfeld.
Nicholson gave officers an incorrect name when they and officials with the state Department of Social and Health Services were talking with him about living in a home that was operating as an adult family home in the 1300 block of South Miller Street. People living in those type of homes must have completed a background check, which he had not, Reinfeld said.
After further investigation, it was determined that Nicholson was wanted out of Indiana on an extradition warrant alleging $600,000 worth of fraud, Reinfeld said. Detectives are investigating whether any fraud occurred locally. Reinfeld said Nicholson was operating locally as a financial adviser under the name Dr. Max.
Anyone with information about Nicholson is asked to call Reinfeld at 888-4255.
It was not clear if “American’s Most Wanted” featured Nicholson on its TV show or just on its website.

Oh my. Would you trust this guy as an investment adviser? If so, you need to reexamine your portfolio.
