CASHMERE — Valerie Brady Rongey, vice chair for the Washington State Democratic Party, is the featured speaker at the Democrats of Chelan and Douglas Counties’ Jefferson-Jackson Dinner on March 9.
Rongey, of Spokane Valley, was reelected to the state party seat in January for her second term. She previously served as Eastern Washington field director for the Democrats’ 2010 state campaign, and in volunteer capacities at every level. A small business owner, she blogs about politics and party issues at blueframeworks.blogspot.com.
The annual party-building event features bluegrass and vintage rock by the Saddle Rockers. Auctions and presentations round out the evening.
The event begins with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. at the Cashmere Riverside Center, 201 Riverside Drive. There’s a barbecue buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program. Tickets go for $40 for adults, $30 for students.
