Dozens of the region’s best high school artists will be featured at The 34th Annual Regional High School Art Show opening Friday at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center.
Jurors chose 11 “best of show” art pieces and announced dozens of winners in eight different categories Tuesday.
The awards will be presented 1-4 p.m. March 9 at the museum. The winners will also receive a gift certificate to McDee’s Art Center in Wenatchee.
The work will remain on display at the museum through April 20. The best of show selections will advance to the statewide competition sponsored by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction in April.
All student names and schools were kept secret as the judges considered each piece. The judges were: Lindsay Briedenthal, visual artist, Karen Dawn Dean, artist and coordinator of Wenatchee First Fridays and Jessica Russell from Tumbleweed Bead Co. Here are the selected artists:
