Burglaries, car prowls reported at Fancher Heights
Tuesday, January 8, 2013
EAST WENATCHEE — Prowlers hit the Fancher heights subdivision Sunday night and early Monday morning, entering open garages and ransacking vehicles parked on the street.
Three burglaries and five vehicle prowls were reported Monday, said Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal.
“Items stolen included tools, cash, electronic devices and other valuables that could be easily carried away,” Gjesdal said in a press release. “The thieves did not force entry but appeared to be looking for open and unlocked doors.”

Simple thing like keeping your cars locked, garage doors closed, and valuables out of sight can make the difference.
