The Wenatchee Wild acquired the playing rights to forward Alex Schoenborn from the Portland Winterhawks, Junior Hockey reported on Friday.
Schoenborn, a 6-foot forward who plays on the wing, has one goal and one assist in 18 games this season.
The Winterhawks play in the Western Hockey League, a major junior ice hockey league based in Western Canada and the Northwestern United States.
Schoenborn, 17, will play for Wenatchee for the rest of the season and return to Portland afterward, according to Junior Hockey.
