Congratulations: People and places
Kathy Z. Smithson, of Smithson Insurance Services, Inc. of East Wenatchee, has been reappointed to another two-year term on the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner’s Life and Disability Agent/Broker Advisory Committee to the Commissioner. The Advisory Committee aids in improving the regulation of insurance in Washington State.
Shelley Lewis has been named Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2012 at Dr. Cara’s Children’s Dentistry in Wenatchee. Lewis is new patient coordinator at the practice and has been employed there for over seven years.
The Coldwell Banker Lake Chelan Properties office took top honors in a nationwide Coldwell Banker listings competition. The Chelan office received recognition for having the most listings sales between April 16 and June 15, 2012 among offices of its size in the Western region. The office was awarded $1,000 in signage. The office also won a drawing for a breakfast visit from Budge Huskey, president and chief operating office of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. The visit is scheduled for Jan. 29.
Dr. Gregory Eberhart, chief of cardiology at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center, recently achieved board certification in medical management, earning him the title of Certified Physician Executive (CPE). The CPE designation was granted by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management, a nonprofit corporation established by the American College of Physician Executives. Eberhart was awarded the status based on his educational achievements, superior levels of professional excellence as a physician, experience in the field of medical management and completion of a CPE certification program. He has been a member of the Cardiology Department at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center since 2007.
Manson High School/Middle School Principal Don Vanderholm has been selected for the 2012-13 Distinguished Caribou Trail League Principal of the Year from this region. The Washington Association of Secondary School Principals will honor Vanderholm at its annual conference in October.
