WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee AppleSox will open their 14th season at home on June 5 against the Corvallis Knights in a rematch of the 2012 West Coast League championship series.
The team released its 2013 schedule on Monday. Wenatchee’s 58-game season will include 31 home games.
Two expansion franchises, the Victoria HarbourCats and the Medford Rogues, have been added to the WCL and will begin play this summer.
In addition to WCL play, the AppleSox will have four non-league games — a pair of two-game series against the Everett Merchants and San Francisco Seals.
“We’re excited about this year’s schedule because our fans will see two brand new West Coast League teams, plus a couple of non-league opponents that haven’t visited Wenatchee in several years,” AppleSox owner/general manager Jim Corcoran said in a press release.
The AppleSox won their fifth WCL championship in 2012, their third title in four years.
Season tickets are available now and can be purchased by contacting the AppleSox office at 509-665-6900.
