Wilf Woods: Support the Loop Trail expansion
Saturday, January 26, 2013
It has been a long time since our local Loop Trail was built, and it has become a welcome fixture of life for bikers and hikers alike.
Now, at last, the trail extension up to Rocky Reach Dam has survived its legal challenges. The upper end will be built with Chelan County PUD funds. But the funding has gone away for the remainder of the trail. Bob Parlette is calling a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center to talk about it, and to recruit some volunteers to help raise money for the unfinished portion.
Bob has been involved in this project from its very inception. This trail is going to happen only if its gets our support. See you there.
