LEAVENWORTH — A Seattle motorist is accused of driving under the influence after a three-car crash near Coles Corner that injured three people Saturday.
The Washington State Patrol said Jonathan R. Missen, 29, was westbound about 16 miles west of Leavenworth at 5:48 p.m. when he rear-ended another westbound driver with his 2007 Nissan pickup. Missen then moved into the oncoming lane and struck an eastbound 2011 Toyota 4Runner.
The 4Runner struck an embankment and rolled, but no one inside was injured.
The driver whose 1997 Dodge Caravan was rear-ended by Missen, 43-year-old Kevin A. Foster of Marysville, was taken to Cascade Medical Center by ambulance, as were his passengers: Deanna E. Egger-Foster, 44, of Arlington, and a 14-year-old girl.
The hospital said it would not disclose the victims’ conditions Sunday morning. Messen faces a charge of DUI stemming from the crash.
