NCW — Rebuilding Together Greater Wenatchee Valley is accepting applications from families that need help fixing their homes
The nonprofit, volunteer organization helps dozens of local families, veterans, the elderly and the disabled each year during its annual work day. This year’s work day is scheduled for May 18.
Work can include plumbing or electrical repairs, painting, window repair, porches or stairs that need replacing, handicap grab bars and rails, and other repair projects.
Applicants must own and live in their own home in Chelan or Douglas counties and be able to show proof of ownership and homeowner insurance. Income for the entire household must be less than $27,000 a year. Homeowners must also be present on the day of the repair event.
Applications must be made by March 1. To apply, make a donation, volunteer to help or learn more about the event, call Marilyn Lancaster at 881-4721 or visit rtwenatchee.org.
Donations can also be sent to Rebuilding Together Greater Wenatchee Valley, c/o Marilyn Lancaster, P.O. Box 144, Monitor, WA, 98836.
