Dorothy “Dottie” (Nault) Dempsey

April 17, 1923 ~ June 27, 2013

Dorothy “Dottie” (Nault) Dempsey passed away on June 27, 2013, at her assisted living home, Life’s Little Pleasures.

Dorothy was born on April 17, 1923, in Superior, WI, where she spent her growing up years. She met the love of her life, Ralph, while traveling on a train and they were married on October 20, 1945. They spent the next twenty years seeing the world together during Ralph’s military career. They then settled in Wenatchee, where they raised their two children, Kathy and Mike. Dottie was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Dottie worked many years as a waitress for Tony’s, Rooney’s and The Chieftain restaurants, where she made many good friends and happy customers. She belonged to Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and had many fond memories of the good times she shared with friends during their functions.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Jim) Sharp of East Wenatchee, daughter-in-law, Jill (Mike) Dempsey of Wenatchee, “adopted” daughter, Pat Alderman of Cashmere; grandchildren, Christopher (Andrea) Sharp of East Wenatchee, Matthew Sharp of Wenatchee, Dennis (Sherri) Sharp of East Wenatchee, Aaron Dempsey of Wenatchee, Shon (Sarah) Dempsey of Brooklyn, N.Y.; step granddaughters, Caitlin Sullivan of Seattle, Mollie Sullivan of Denver, CO, and Kourtney of Portland, OR; great grandchildren, Jeremiah Sharp, Ashley Sharp, and Wyatt Hetterle of East Wenatchee, and Shad and Seth Sharp of Gettysburg, SD.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son, Mike; parents, Stella and George Nault; and her sister, Shirley.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley. Concluding Services and interment will follow at the Wenatchee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
