Don ‘S’ Erskine

Don “S” Erskine, 84, of Wenatchee, died Sunday June 30, 2013.

He had been a lifetime resident of Wenatchee and was manager of The Chieftain lounge in Wenatchee from 1961 to 1966. He then worked for Commercial Collection for 10 years and then he and his wife owned and operated Don’s Greenhouse in Wenatchee for 32 years.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Erskine of Wenatchee; his children, Vienne Bennett and Kellie Mayer, both of Wenatchee, Daniel Erskine of Marysville and Karen Erskine of Portland, Ore.; his brothers, Paul Erskine of Anacortes, Garr Erskine of Peris, Calif., and Darrell Erskine of Medford, Ore.; and his sister, Dixie Vickery of Wenatchee.

A graveside service, with full military honors, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Wenatchee City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Jones & Jones-Betts Memorial Chapel.

Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
